Remember there is NO SCHOOL on MONDAY for students!! Teachers have a PIR training day.
The students worked so hard last week with their FastBridge testing! I love seeing the progress that your students have made since this fall. This week we will begin our snow/snowman unit with writing and projects!
We had a lot of sick kiddos in our class last week. If your child is not feeling good, and you aren't sure if you should send them to school, PLEASE keep them home! There is a nasty bug going around with flu, fever, and a bad cold that almost half of our class has caught. We have had a lot of discussions of what to do so we aren't spreading our germs to our friends. Please help to teach them how to cover their mouths when they cough, keep their hands out of their mouth, and wash/sanitize often throughout the day...especially after blowing their nose! :)
It has also been chilly outside! We will go to recess if it is 0 degrees or warmer. Please help your child be prepared for this weather each day!!
Keep a lookout for 100 day assignments coming up. I will be asking for your child to count 100 snacks (cheerios, pretzles, goldfish M&M's, etc) and we will be eating a 100 day snack that we make with all of our items put together! I will also send another bag home for your child to bring 100 non-edible items for our class to count. Start thinking of fun items to send to class! 100th Day is January 30!
